Lake Balaton at 8am

In May we travelled to lake Balaton to make some balloon-panos. I went to the beach at 8am, and saw 2 anglers and a hardly visible fishing boat on the horizon. Not much to see, but the atmosphere was so still and soft, that I was very impressed sitting there.

IV. Contakter Balaton-crossing International Balloon Competition

Finally here are the panoramas from the Balloon Competition!

10 balloons flew across the lake Balaton, 8 participant were from Hungary and 2 from Lithuania.
The competition lasted five days, every morning and afternoon
was a flight from different starting points.
These panoramas were taken at the 3rd afternoon, the balloons took off from the Toth Riding Centre.

The take off lasted about a half hour.
First they blew up the balloons with cold air, with a help of a motorized propeller.
Then he fired the gas heater and pumped in some hot air, after that the balloons rised.
Then the baskets needed to straighten up, and the ride begun!

Concert by a swiss group at Tóth Lovascentrum

A swiss group made a concert at Tóth Lovascentrum,
it has begun right before the balloon-competition.

They played at first classical pieces like Schubert’s “Die Forelle”
aka “The Trout”, or Beethoven’s IX. symphony, and then some
popular heavier pieces like Pink Floyd, Queen, Deep Purple.

Although they played very well, they didn’t got almost any attention
because some 100 meters away those 2 balloons were parked.
Almost anybody was curious about the balloons, but the rest of us
was listening to that wonderful music they made.

As I had taken the pictures for the panorama, me and my friend sat in front of the stage
with one bottle of beer in our hands. After that, others had hearted up
and sat next to us.

It was a nice concert!

Alas it has some stitching errors, because these huge monsters was constantly moving in the wind.

…the next day we went to the beach and take some photographs of the surfers.
Unfortunately the wind blowed strong and the water was too cold so we couldn’t get in to swim.
